Today’s guest is Kerry Miller, co-founder and General Partner of venture capital fund Overton VC. Overton has a pulse on evolving consumer behavior and invests in ambitious, consumer-focused entrepreneurs who are building exceptional next-generation brands and services. Kerry’s extensive career includes 8 years at Goldman Sachs as a Senior Vice President and also years as a management consultant at Willis Towers Watson. Kerry has been an angel investor for more than a decade where she serves as a talent strategy advisor to early stage companies. She’s an active philanthropist, supporting NPO’s and even being the president of a national service organization. Last year she received the inaugural Elaine Winik award from the Jewish Federation of New York for her leadership in service.

Choichun Leung -- An Artist, Social entrepreneur, and a Model at Elite on Child Sexual Abuse and her NPO The Young Girl Project

Originally from Wales, Choi has lived all over the world: Beijing, Hong Kong, Germany, London, and eventually New York, while, as a single mother, raising her daughter.

Choi was an assistant to the visionary pop artist Peter Max, and throughout her life has explored a range of crafts including metalwork, woodwork, music, and silversmithing. She was a recipient of the Gold Award from the Prince of Wales Business Trust, and has worked as a background artist in film animation in Hong Kong. 

In 2012, Choi started The Young Girl Project, seeking to make the world a better place by battling child sexual abuse. With autobiographical cartoon-like drawings of naked little girls, she illustrates that fight. 

And now, at age 52, Choi has signed as a model/artist with Elite Model Management.

Today, we discuss art, single motherhood, social entrepreneurship, and processing childhood trauma.

Elaine Kwon -- A Concert Pianist (Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center), MIT lecturer, and Entrepreneur, on Drive, a Career in the Fine Arts, and Determination.

She holds a black belt in TaeKwonDo (5-time US National Forms Champion), was the face of Nike Asia, has been featured in numerous magazines, and was a guest on the Oprah Winfrey show. 

Elaine opens up about what it’s like to grow up as a daughter of immigrants, her relationship with her parents in pursuing her career in music, and what it takes to be successful in a competitive field like the fine arts.
