Kit is the co-founder and Creative Director for Firmdale Hotels and the Kit Kemp Design Studio. With more than 10 properties in both London and NYC, Firmdale Hotels is best known for its unique, vibrant, and refreshing interiors featuring both whimsical detail and artistic flair. 

Over the years, Kit has forged an internationally-acclaimed reputation, not only for her unique interior design, but also as a successful originator of textiles, fragrance and homewares.  

A highly-respected champion of British art, craft and sculpture, Kit has been awarded a MBE by Her Majesty the Queen, an honor Kit shares with cultural figures such as Ringo Starr, Adele and Ed Sheeran. Kit routinely collaborates with leading global design brands such as Wedgwood, Wilton Carpets, Andrew Martin, Anthropologie, Christopher Farr, Chelsea Textiles, Fine Cell Work and Porta Romana, creating collections of tableware, fragrance, furniture, fabrics, wallpaper and lighting.
