In today’s episode we listen to the story of my dear friend Elaine Kwon, a highly successful Carnegie Hall concert pianist, a lecturer at MIT, and founder of the immersive concert series and media company, Savor Your Senses. She holds a black belt in TaeKwonDo (5-time US National Forms Champion), was the face of Nike Asia, has been featured in numerous magazines, and was a guest on the Oprah Winfrey show.
Elaine opens up about what it’s like to grow up as a daughter of immigrants, her relationship with her parents in pursuing her career in music, and what it takes to be successful in a competitive field like the fine arts. We go deep into what it means to be driven, and how to keep on going when things are challenging.
